Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 453463) - Pursues specialized research training by conducting independent research under the guidance of his/her scientific mentor to characterize the role of genes, non-coding RNAs, and proteins in normal and malignant hematopoiesis; develops, adopts and implements new and known laboratory methods and conducts animal studies to determine the contribution of the bone marrow microenvironment, genes, non-coding RNAs, and proteins in regulating normal and malignant hematopoiesis; conducts analysis of factors within the bone marrow microenvironment and hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells that regulate their ability to sustain normal blood cell development and critical stem/progenitor cell functions such self-renewal, quiescence, migration, adhesion, and response to environmental stress.

Education and experience

Doctoral degree in appropriate discipline is required. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
