Position summary

Student Intern (Job Opening 443620) - SCOPE OF POSITION The OSUWMC Supply Chain department is responsible for all aspects of the health system non-labor expenses, comprising approximately $700M in annual supply, service and capital purchases. The department operates within guidelines set by the State of Ohio Revised Code, the State of Ohio Administrative Code, and the purchasing authority as delegated by the University?s Board of Trustees. OSUWMC Supply Chain department is responsible for the entire procure-to-pay function including: ? Strategic Sourcing & Procurement for the medical center and extended enterprises ? Value Analysis, including new product introductions, standardization and recalls ? Logistics & Procurement Information Systems ? Distribution, including logistics from dock to patient and lean operations ? Accounts Payable POSITION SUMMARY This individual is responsible for supporting the operations of the Supply Chain Department.

Education and experience

Student enrolled at The Ohio State University. Working knowledge of modern office computer software, including Microsoft Outlook (or similar), and equipment required. Supply Chain interest preferred. Strong commitment to teamwork and ability to optimize efforts through collaboration and partnerships. Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to change. Meets and maintains mandatory education, compliance, and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrate competence in technical, interpersonal and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions. Maintain a working knowledge of institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain a working knowledge of modern office operations.
