Student Intern (Job Opening 456776) - SCOPE OF POSITION The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Information Technology (OSUWMC IT) supports the OSUWMC three part mission of patient care, education and research. OSUWMC IT works collaboratively with its colleagues in patient care, research and education to enable the Wexner Medical Center's success by deploying innovative solutions through information sharing, mission critical technologies, reliable platforms, and superior customer service. This student intern position is responsible for mobile device support & help desk support to serve this three-part mission. POSITION SUMMARY Under direction of the Support Center Manager/Supervisor provides immediate assistance and problem resolution, whenever possible, for service inquiries concerning paging, SecurID, account creation MAC/PC support and general troubleshooting as required. The MedCenter IT Service Desk is designed to be the single point of contact for customers requesting services and/or support from MedCenter IT. The Service Desk is responsible for receiving, resolving when possible, escalating, and monitoring customer incidents, questions and requests.

Education and experience

Directly reports to the Service Desk Manager within the Department of Information Systems. Students must be enrolled in a degree-granting program including but not limited to computer science or computer engineering; Requires experience operating personal computer and other office equipment; May require an Ohio Driver's license; previous work experience in the respective field desired.
