Outpatient - PCC (Job Opening 437796) - Scope of Position
JamesCare at University Hospital East offers complete diagnostic services, far-reaching expertise, and continuity of care, convenience, comfort and support. We care for patients with many types of cancer and blood disorders, including but not limited to breast cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, pancreatic cancer, HIV, Hepatitis , Systemic Lupus Erythemia, lymphoma, lung cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Acute Myelocytic/Myelogenous Leukemia, Chronic Myelocytic / Myelogenous Leukemia, hypercoaguable disease, anemia and associated diseases. Patients are seen Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM in one of 13 exam rooms.
Patients are seen on both an outpatient and inpatient basis at UH East. Our physicians located on the 13th floor of the hospital are hematology/oncology certified and our RNs have oncology and/or strong medical surgical experience. The scope of care also includes dietitians, social work, pharmacists and other support staff who are dedicated to JamesCare at UH East. Patients also have access to enrolling in clinical trials.

Position Summary
The clinic nurse is responsible for coordinating the inter-disciplinary team of nursing and non-nursing resources to best serve the oncology patient. The process of assessment, education and continuity of care is focused on the oncology patients seen at JamesCare Clinic at OSU East Hosp.

Education and experience

Graduate from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited nursing program required; current licensure or interim permit in the practice of registered nursing from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing required; previous experience in a relevant care setting preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
