Experience and Interests
Al has been with Ohio State since 2008 and was initially a cardiac RN with the Ross Heart Hospital. As an OSUWMC Clinical Excellence award recipient, he completed his Family Nurse Practitioner training at the OSU College of Nursing. He was instrumental in opening of the OSU FastCare walk-in clinics in 2010, now named OSU Walk In Clinic. He remains committed to excellence in customer service, a patient’s wellness and care education, and the overall management of a patient’s acute illness needs. Al enjoys serving as a clinical preceptor for family nurse practitioners (FNP) and graduate students and is involved with the on-boarding of new FNP’s for OSU Family Medicine and FNP fellows whenever possible. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Nurses Association. Al is a long time Buckeye, enjoys outdoor activities and is involved with fundraising for several nonprofit organizations.
