Experience and Interests
I am a nurse practitioner working with adults in the post-acute and long-term setting at Heartland of Dublin and Westerville. I graduated from The Ohio State University’s College of Nursing as Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 2017 with my MSN. I was fortunate to discover my passion for the elderly and nursing very early in life while caring for my grandmother. It was through this experience, my specialized education, and my 5 years working as a bedside nurse that I developed an understand the unique needs of aging adults and their families. I have committed myself to pursuing a career that focuses on partnering with geriatric patients to help them achieve their highest level of wellness.
Not only have I have received specialized training in the care of older adults, but am committed to meeting their complex needs. Often, my patients have complex social and medical needs that require longer visits, comprehensive medication reconciliation, and individualized education. My clinical experience has taught me to holistically assess my patients to understand their specific needs, socioeconomic challenges, and goals of care. As an APRN, it also thrills me to solve the "puzzle" of diagnosing acute illnesses or working with my patients and team to create a successful, individualized treatment plans.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, and being active. I enjoy trying new restaurants and experiencing all that Columbus has to offer.
