Within the Division of General Internal Medicine Dr. Li is currently working on a couple of research studies, with outcomes that aim to improve the quality of life of patients. One ongoing area of research is polypharmacy. Dr. Li, along with colleagues at The Ohio state university, is investigating the impact of polypharmacy, and looking to see whether its discontinuation affects the patient’s quality of life. This research is primarily taking place in the older generation.

Dr. Li is also investigating Alzheimer’s disease, with particular interest in the diagnosis and management of dementia in primary care.  Such research has been funded by an Endowment fund set up in 2014 and also from donations from grateful patients and their family members.
