Clinical Interests

Ms. Roggenbuck provides genetic evaluations and counseling services to patients in the Neuromuscular Division of the Department of Neurology, including the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy Association multidisciplinary clinics. Research Interests

Ms. Roggenbuck studies the clinical applications of ALS gene discovery, including best practices for the integration of ALS genetic evaluation in patient care and patient outcomes related to genetic testing. Funded by the ALS Association, she authored evidence-based guidelines for genetic testing in ALS which provide guidance to patients, clinicians and testing laboratories. She also studies myopathies and muscular dystrophies that result from harmful changes in the TTN gene, working to characterize new titinopathies and underlying mechanisms of disease.
