Clinical interests:

Ms. Pearlman provides cancer risk assessment and counseling to individuals and families with a history of cancer. Cancer genetic consultation requires documentation of cancers in the family, risk assessment, screening recommendations and incorporation of genetic testing as necessary. Research interests:

Ms. Pearlman’s research interests include universal screening for Lynch syndrome. She is the project manager for the Ohio Colorectal Cancer Prevention Initiative, a study that is being conducted to understand how better to prevent colorectal cancer in Ohioans. The researchers involved in this study plan to enroll 4,000 individuals newly diagnosed with colorectal cancer, as well as their relatives, to develop a colorectal cancer research infrastructure within the state of Ohio, including universal screening for Lynch syndrome.
