Biography: Dr. Pisano grew up in Toledo, OH, before attending college at the University of Toledo. After graduating with a BS in biology, she moved on to Columbus, OH, for The Ohio State University's College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and graduated cum laude. Dr. Pisano came to the Havener Eye Institute to complete a residency in contact lens and ocular disease under Chantelle Mundy, OD. Dr. Pisano is currently in the process of obtaining her fellowship from the scleral lens education society. She enjoys being able to help patients with complex ocular conditions improve their vision by fitting specialty contact lenses, including patients with keratoconus, post-LASIK ectasia, corneal dystrophies, severe dry eye, graft versus host disease related to dry eye and ocular trauma.
Dr Pisano is currently a member of the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA), the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Scleral Lens Education Society. In 2014, Dr. Pisano was awarded the American Optometric Foundation Award of Excellence in Patient Care.
