The Department of Orthopaedics is committed to the education of future physicians and preparing them to function as well-qualified, independent specialists in orthopaedics. The Ohio State University Department of Orthopaedics offers two residency programs – the Orthopaedic Residency and the Podiatric Residency.

Fellowship Programs

The Ohio State University Department of Orthopaedics offers 7 ACGME approved fellowship positions in 5 different specialties, including the Hand Surgery Fellowship, Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship, Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, Surgery of the Spine Fellowship and Orthopaedic Oncology.

The Department of Orthopaedics offers two course options for orthopaedic medical student clerkships, an elective and a DOC5/sub-internship. The department also offers podiatric student externships.
