Provides oversight for all administrative functions within the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery, including financial management, personnel management, marketing and performance measurements/improvements in the educational, clinical and research aspects of minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, she oversees the administrative activities related to the clinical assistant professorships in minimally invasive surgery, advanced therapeutic endoscopy and GI surgery.

Provides computer software, hardware and network support for the center's projects. He supports clinical faculty by taping and editing procedural videos for educational and research purposes. Ozzie also oversees teleconferencing and videoconferencing to internal and distant sites.

Coordinates all education programs related to minimally invasive surgery, including continuing medical education accredited courses, resident/fellow training and medical student courses. Robotics training at The Ohio State University is coordinated through her office as well. Additionally, Abby manages the international visiting scholar program.

He implements and monitors research protocols, recruits study patients and collects and analyzes data. He also facilitates contracts with sponsors and oversees the submission of IRB and external grant applications.
