Working in one of the busiest transplantation centers in the nation, house officers at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are exposed to a wide variety of transplantation procedures, including kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation. Pediatric organ transplantation takes place at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and adult transplantation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Transplant Center Fellowships

A two-year fellowship in solid organ transplantation is accredited by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. One position is available each year to applicants who have completed the requirements for certification by the American Board of Surgery. The division offers fellowships in abdominal transplant surgery, transplant hepatology, transplant nephrology and transplant pulmonology.
