Due to COVID-19, the following visitor restrictions apply at all Ohio State health care facilities:

Masks required: Everyone entering our facilities is required to wear a mask. (We will provide you with a mask upon entry.)

Health screenings: All patients, visitors and staff entering our facilities will have their temperature checked and asked questions about symptoms, potential exposure and travel.

Virtual Visitation

Facebook Messenger: now available on MyChart Bedside tablets for admitted patients to support virtual visitation with their loved ones. Patients can log in using their Facebook account information to video chat with their family and friends while they are in the hospital.

WebEx: MyChart Bedside tablets now include WebEx information for patients to help them use video conference to communicate with their inpatient care team. 

 

Visitor Screening

  • All visitors to hospitals and ambulatory facilities will be screened for symptoms/travel/exposure history and a temperature check
  • Visitors will be asked to leave the facility if they have had symptoms in the past 24 hours or exposures in the last 14 days.
  • Visitors must wash their hands, or use hand sanitizer, before and after leaving rooms and hospital buildings

For suppliers dropping off supplies to our medical center facilities:

  • Stop at a check-in station at the entrance to the facility to receive a temperature check
  • After being screened, suppliers will receive a temperature approval sticker to be able to proceed inside for delivery

Telehealth Care

We have implemented enhanced safety measures at all our facilities to keep patients safe. However, if you would feel safer, an alternative to visiting our facilities is scheduling your upcoming visit as a telehealth appointment. Even if you don't have a primary care provider, you can utilize telehealth immediate care to see an Ohio State doctor today.
