I'm an assistant professor of radiology and chief of interventional radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. I also serve as the Interventional Radiology Residency Program director and have dedicated much of my career to the education of fellows, residents and medical students in interventional radiology.
I graduated from medical school with honors and was accepted into a general surgery residency. With two years of general surgery experience, I discovered my passion for radiology and interventional radiology. I then completed a pediatric radiology/interventional radiology fellowship and worked in pediatrics as an attending for a year. During that year, I realized I wanted more interventional oncology experience so I completed a second fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology with an emphasis in interventional oncology at The Ohio State University. I stayed on as faculty here at the Wexner Medical Center and the James.
I have varied clinical and research interests. I was an innovator and now serve as medical director of the first Procedure and Vascular Access Team (PVAT), which is designed to improve patient access to procedures such as vascular access placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures and more. I'm also the director of the Y90 Interventional Radiology Program, and have completed two Y90 Center of Excellence courses and maintain a full authorized User status for Y90 administration. I also serve on many education and hospital committees.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
