About Me

As a hospitalist, I provide high-quality comprehensive care for individuals admitted to the hospital. I treat and manage conditions including diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure and renal failure. I believe in working together with my patients to ensure that they are meeting their health care goals, and am passionate about building strong patient-physician relationships while focusing on the unique needs of each patient.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because it has proven to be a world leader in medical care while promoting an environment of learning and personal growth. I take great pride in being part of a talented, comprehensive medical team that is able to offer the highest quality care available.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, watching movies, exploring the outdoors and spending time with family.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/26/2018, Dr. Shobe has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
