About Me
I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of breast cancer. I attended medical school and completed my residency at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine before completing my medical oncology and research fellowships at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to my work at the OSUCCC – James, I also serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University.
As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program, my research focuses on integrating tumor genomic profiling with patient characteristics and outcomes in order to develop new treatments for breast cancer. By studying patient samples, including on clinical trials, my lab seeks to identify new mechanisms of drug resistance to standard agents as well as investigational agents. The ultimate goal of this work is to identify predictive markers for treatment response while identifying novel susceptibilities that allow us to overcome drug resistance.
I have co-authored several scientific manuscripts in such prestigious journals as Cell, Nature, Nature Medicine and Clinical Cancer Research, among others.
