I’m an associate professor in the hematology division at OSU. I also run a lymphoid malignancies clinic and research laboratory where we develop novel therapies for CLL and NHL. I recently received a clinical career development award from the Leukemia Research Foundation.
The James is transforming the way we integrate cancer research and patient care. I collaborate with other cancer experts as well as with the basic science faculty to conduct research projects and clinical trials. My work has been published in medical journals including, The New England Journal of Medicine and Oncotarget. I've presented my findings in lectureships nationwide.
I stay abreast of emerging knowledge in my field as an active participant in several professional associations. I’m a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Board of Medical Oncology. I also serve on OSU’s Clinical and Scientific Review Committee and the Columbus Academy of Leadership’s board of directors.

In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Awan has reported financial relationships with the medical device, research and/or drug companies, etc. listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member.
