About Me
I am a medical oncologist who specializes in treating patients diagnosed with bone and soft tissue sarcomas. Patients with this disease face huge challenges every day, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be able to help them and their families during this difficult time. The lack of treatment options for sarcoma is what initially inspired me to go into this field because it’s an opportunity to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic tools through basic science research and clinical trials.
The James is one of only a few sarcoma centers in the state of Ohio and is among the best teams in the country. I am part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, radiation oncologists and other specialists who work together in order to provide personalized treatment plans for our patients. Though the treatment of sarcoma may be difficult, our sarcoma team combines cutting-edge technology and clinical trials to deliver unparalleled quality care.
My research focuses primarily on precision oncology and translational-based trials. One of my recent projects looks into the use of tumor DNA as a diagnostic tool for sarcoma. Additionally, I serve as a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University.
The OSUCCC – James is a phenomenal place to work. The sarcoma team is outstanding, and we offer clinical trials that often aren’t available anywhere else. I’m proud to participate in groundbreaking research and contribute to the shared goal of creating a cancer-free world.
