About Me

I am an orthopaedic oncologist specializing in bone and soft tissue cancers in the arms, legs and pelvis. I serve as director of the sarcoma program at The James and as chief of musculoskeletal oncology. I’m also the medical director of Perioperative Services at The James. I’m honored to be a part of a multidisciplinary team that values working in close partnership with patients to develop innovative and effective treatment plans. I was also named to the Castle Connolly list of "America's Top Doctors” from 2010-2021.

At The James, we’re not just experts in cancer – we’re experts in your individual cancer. Sarcomas are a unique and rare medical condition that can vary in size, shape and location in the extremities. I ensure each patient receives a thorough explanation of treatment options, as well as a comprehensive medical and personal evaluation so that we can determine the best course of treatment together. As a personal guide through the journey from patient to survivor, I am continuously amazed by the strength of the patients we serve.

I also conduct clinical research trials to continue to improve the treatment of orthopaedic cancer. My work has been published in more than 60 peer-reviewed medical journals, most recently in the American Journal of Orthopedics, the Journal of Surgical Oncology and Applied Immunohistochemistry & Molecular Morphology.

I’ve received numerous awards and honors throughout my career. I’ve been named one of America’s best cancer doctors by Best Doctors in America and I’m proud to have earned several Excellence in Teaching awards and a Certificate of Excellence in Patient Service from The Ohio State University.
