About Me

I am a hematologist who specializes in treating patients with B-cell malignancies, such as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HD) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). I also serve as a professor in the Division of Hematology at The Ohio State University and as medical director of infusion services at The James.

I received my medical degree from the University of South Dakota, followed by my internal medicine internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I completed my fellowship in hematology/oncology at The Ohio State University and stayed on to join the hematology team. I have board certification in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

As a member of the Leukemia and Hematologic Malignancies Program at the OSUCCC – James, I serve as an investigator on several clinical trials in lymphoma, most of which are evaluating non-chemotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of lymphoma. I also serve on the Alliance Lymphoma Committee, a multi-institution working group to develop clinical trials in lymphoma that can be done across several institutions.

At the OSUCCC – James, we have a true multi-disciplinary team in hematology-oncology that involves hematologist, oncologists, medical laboratory scientists, pathologists, nurses, pharmacists and physician assistants. We work together to continually improve patients’ quality of life as we search for answers that will one day lead to a cancer-free world.
