About Me

I am a nurse practitioner with over 13 years of experience in the field. I currently work in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the OSUCCC – James, where I serve as the lead nurse practitioner treating patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.

There are four different tumor boards for GI cancers, each with their own radiation oncology, medical oncology and surgical colleagues. Some of the tumor boards have other disciplines present as well, such as hepatology or GI colleagues.

During my time at The James, it’s been incredible to see the advancements made in treating these cancers, which were at one time considered lethal. I also enjoy the palliation of symptoms. If we cannot be a part of the cure for our patients, then the next best thing is to assist in providing quality of life and helping them reach their individual goals. It’s very rewarding to be even a small part of our patients’ lives and feel like what I do makes a difference.
