About Me
I’m a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of head and neck cancers, including new chemo-radiation techniques, immunotherapy and management of patients with recurrent or metastatic cancers. I received my medical training at the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and I completed fellowships at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. I served as a resident at the University of Paris XI in France, as well other hospitals in London, Argentina and the United States.
As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James, my primary clinical research interests are supportive care, patient outcomes and cancer immunology, with a particular interest in patients with head and neck cancers. Currently, my research focuses on checkpoint blockade with the use of low-dose chemotherapy and radiation in difficult to treat populations such as patients with poor performance status and/or patients older than 75 years of age.
I’ve been published in journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer and The Oncologist. I have also presented at conferences, symposiums and universities. Currently, I serve as a visiting associate professor in internal medicine at The Ohio State University.
What I enjoy most about working at the OSUCCC – James is the multidisciplinary approach we take to treating each patient. Not only do patients meet with surgeons and oncologists, but they also meet with speech therapists, nutritionists and social workers to ensure their recovery both before and after treatment. At The James, there is no routine cancer. I am proud to work with other dedicated medical professionals toward a cancer-free world.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
