About Me

As a head and neck surgical oncologist, I specialize in treating patients with disorders of the head and neck region, specifically upper aerodigestive tract tumors, thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland neoplasms, skin cancers and many other pathologies related to the head and neck. I am also a microvascular reconstructive surgeon, allowing me to offer the most advanced techniques of reconstructive surgery available today in order to optimize function and cosmesis for my patients.

Every day, I strive to provide compassionate, friendly and thorough care by remaining side-by-side with my patients throughout their treatment. I create a personalized treatment plan tailored to every individual patient while thoroughly discussing each detail with patients and their families. Should surgery be needed, I provide state-of-the-art surgical care followed by world-class postoperative care at the OSUCCC – James.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University. I educate and train numerous residents and medical students every year at Ohio State. I engage in both clinical and translational research through partnerships and relationships across our academic institution. Furthermore, I have a passion for international medical care and participate in international mission work on a regular basis. Most recently, I have provided head and neck surgical care in Kenya through the organization More Than Medicine and in Honduras through Time International. There is no doubt that I will continue to travel aboard throughout my career helping underserved patients in these and other regions.

Overall, I am very proud of our ability to care for patients at the OSUCCC – James. I'm very fond of the camaraderie and commitment of everyone to provide the best care for every single patient. The James is truly a special place that I am proud to work for and be a part of as we strive to create a cancer-free world.
