About Me
I am a nurse practitioner in the Division of Medical Oncology at The James. I received my master’s in nursing from The Ohio State University and have been working at the OSUCCC – James since 2006, where I specialize in treating skin cancers like melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and Merkel cell carcinoma.
I want to empower people as they go through their cancer journey and let them know that they are not alone in this fight, and the many resources that the OSUCCC – James offers to both patients and employees helps me succeed in my goal. There is a commitment and passion from everyone who works at The James to treat every patient as an individual with their own unique needs, and I enjoy being a part of a team that advocates for these patients during treatment.
In addition to receiving the Clinical Excellence Award in 2009, I lead a monthly melanoma support group and organized the first annual Melanoma Patient Education Symposium in 2012. I am also a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
