About Me
I am a nurse practitioner in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the OSUCCC – James, where I treat patients who are at an increased risk of developing breast cancer based on known genetic mutations, family history or personal medical history, such as previous radiation exposure. I also work with long-term breast cancers survivors who are years out from their diagnosis, as well as patients with benign breast conditions.
I am passionate about my career at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center because it’s very rewarding to play a role in the prevention and detection of breast cancer. I have several people in my life who have been affected by breast cancer, and I have watched them as they’ve gone through one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Prevention is key to most cancers, so we place a lot of focus on educating our patients on ways to minimize their risk of developing breast cancer. We utilize evidence-based practices to guide this education, with many studies occurring right here at The James that are targeted toward prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
In addition to the incredible resources available to us, I enjoy working with all of my colleagues, from the physicians and fellow nurses to patient care assistants. The OSUCCC – James is a great environment to work in. Everyone is so supportive of one another as we strive to provide the best patient care possible.

Everything is great. The difference is that now I have a practioner vs before I had a doctor for years. I am hoping that I am getting the same care as a doctor. This change is huge. They reassured me if they found anything they would have a doctor for me. I dont know who to speak with about this change. She was very thorough but it just happened so quickly and I have been a patient for many years. Is there anyone to speak with?
