About Me

I am a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating patients with central nervous system malignancies, including primary tumors such as glioblastoma, meningioma and ependymoma. I utilize modern treatment modalities for patients with brain and spine metastases.

I completed my doctorate in molecular oncology (with graduate research in angiogenesis and tumor hypoxia) at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and I later received my medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James, my laboratory focuses on translational cancer research using combinations of immunotherapy, immune modulation, targeted radiosensitization and radiation therapy. My recent research includes three clinical trials that use an immune checkpoint blockade during or after radiation for glioblastoma patients.

My work has been published in more than a dozen medical journals, such as Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics and American Journal of Clinical Oncology. Additionally, I serve as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Cancer is a terrible disease that impacts thousands of people every year. Each of us at The James is committed to working collaboratively to fight cancer and help our patients have longer, happier lives.
