My practice is internal medicine, with a focus on gastroenterology. When working with my patients, I feel we are together in the same battle against the disease that is ailing them. I work with my patients to find the best strategy for diagnosis and to formulate a personalized treatment plan. This often includes using advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

I specialize in advanced therapeutic endoscopy with a focus on endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). These advanced procedures allow for a minimally invasive, “up close” evaluation and treatment of the disease.

What I enjoy most about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the opportunity to be involved in the care of patients using advanced endoscopic procedures. I also work to advance the quality of patient care through my research which is focused on endoscopic quality and outcomes.

In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, traveling, reading and being outdoors.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/17, Dr. El-Dika has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
