Dana McTigue, PhD is a professor and vice chair of Research in the Department of Neuroscience and in the Center for Brain and Spinal Cord Repair. Her laboratory studies spinal cord injury and recovery of function, gliogenesis, adult progenitor cell function and remyelination of the CNS.

D. Michele Basso, PD, EdD, is an associate director in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She earned both her EdD and MA from the Teacher’s College of Columbia University after receiving her BA in physical therapy from the University of Utah. Her research interests focus on recovery of motor function after central nervous system injury.

Jonathan Godbout is an associate professor of Neuroscience at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is the Assistant Director for Basic Science of the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research and faculty member of the Center for Brain and Spinal Cord Repair. His background is in neuroscience, immunology and biochemistry, with specific training and expertise in microglia, inflammatory cytokines and behavior. Dr. Godbout's research has been concentrated in the areas of aging, neuroimmunology and neurotrauma.

Zachary Weil, PhD

Assistant Professor, Department of Neuroscience

Dr. Weil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Weil earned his BS in psychology from The Ohio State University in 2004 and a PhD in neuroscience from Ohio State in 2008 with Randy J. Nelson, PhD. Dr. Weil then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Neuroscience at Rockefeller University with Donald Pfaff, PhD, and Bruce McEwen, PhD, from 2008-2010.
