Background: James McAuley received his BS in Pharmacy in 1987 and his PhD in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1993, both from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, he joined the faculty at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. He is very active in the OSU Wexner Medical Center’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, where he interacts with patients and healthcare providers regularly and has many collaborative clinical research projects. He has worked closely with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine program since 2002 to provide collaborative care to pregnant women with epilepsy.
Additionally, McAuley is the associate dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Pharmacy. He provides administrative oversight for the PharmD and BS programs, provides leadership for the Office of Experiential Education and the Office of Student Affairs, and assists with faculty development efforts related to teaching and learning.
Clinical Interests: epilepsy, women’s issues, and pharmacotherapy.
