General Research: Focus is on how the immune system communicates with the central nervous system and the function of the neuroimmune suprasystem.  Create and use genetic mouse models to investigate how different types of inflammation signals the CNS via specific cell types.  Study how mental disorders can be produced from immunological activities and how nerve innervation can modulate immune responses.
