Assistant Professor, Neurology
Background: Sheri Hart, MD, PhD, graduated pre-med and psychology cum laude with honors and distinction from The Ohio State University in 1987. She later enrolled in the MD/PhD Medical Scientist Program in the Department of Neuroscience and Psychobiology at The Ohio State University, obtaining a PhD in 1998 and an MD in 2000. Following graduate school, Hart completed a three-year internal medicine internship and neurology residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and a one-year clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University.
Hart was appointed to the faculty of The Ohio State University Department of Neurology in 2005, where she currently holds the title of assistant professor. She is also the director of the Department of Neurology Residency Program and the director of the OSU Wexner Medical Center Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
Hart is board certified (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology) in Epilepsy, Neurology, and Clinical Neurophysiology. Her clinical interests lie in the intersection of epilepsy and mood disorders. She also studies the various factors that influence epilepsy patients’ adherence to their medications and other therapies.
