Performing Arts Physical Therapy Fellowship

Didactic learning is offered primarily through conferences, skills labs and online content from the American Physical Therapy Association’s Performing Arts Module and Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. Guided research activity is threaded throughout the program with the residents choosing a project based on interest and available resources.

Clinical Practice
  • One-one-one Mentoring three hours/week
  • Non-mentored 30 hours/week

  • OSU School of Music 24 hours

Didactic

Independent Study 14 hours
  • APTA Performing Arts Medicine Modules I & II 30 hours
  • Harkness Center for Dance Injuries Online Courses 30 hours

Independent Study
  • APTA and Harkness Course Discussion and Review 23 hours
  • Guided Reading and Case Studies 10 hours

Sports Med Grand Rounds
 four hours/year
