Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency

Didactic learning is offered primarily through weekly residency conferences and overlaps with our sports residency program to provide a comprehensive curriculum. Guided research activity is threaded throughout the program with the residents choosing a project based on their interests and available resources.

Curricular components of the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency:


Clinical Practice
  • One-one-one Mentoring three hours/week
  • Non-mentored 30 hours/week
  • Physician Shadowing 20-30 hours

Didactic
  • Weekly Residency Conference one hour/week
  • Sports Medicine Grand Rounds four hours/year
  • Journal Club one hour/month
  • Advanced Topics in Ortho PT Course 24 hours/year
  • CSM 24 hours/year

Teaching
  • MSK Lab Assistant six hours/week
  • Anatomy Lab Assistant six-10 hours/week

Research
  • Original or Case Study Variable
