Doug Barker

I am responsible for the management of the physician practice at the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute, including coordination of our patient scheduling center. I also oversee the administrative functions of our research institute and focus on collaborations across the Ohio State campus.  


Lois Bernhardt, PT, MPT, MTC

Associate Director, Sports Medicine & Ambulatory Rehabilitation

I provide overall operational leadership and direction for our Dublin physician and physical therapy practices. I am a physical therapist with a strong clinical background and serve as a mentor for our Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program.

Tom Caldwell, PT, DPT, AT

Associate Executive Director, Sports Medicine & Ambulatory Services

I oversee Sports Medicine’s strategic planning, metric tracking and personnel development. I maintained board certification as a sports physical therapy clinical specialist for two decades, led the formation of multiple post-professional physical therapy residencies and fellowships and implemented a novel clinician-driven research initiative to support physical therapists interested in creating outcome-focused research. My professional appointments have included positions with the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board; Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy board of directors; and USA Rugby’s Medical and Safety Committee. 


Garth Dahdah, MBA, CMPE

Director, Physician Practices

I am responsible for the administrative and operational activities of the Sports Medicine physician clinics, including operations, strategic planning, access and patient satisfaction. I am accountable for consistent patient and provider experiences across multiple clinic locations in central Ohio. 


John DeWitt, PT, DPT, AT

Director of PT Residencies and Fellowships

I oversee clinical development opportunities for our physical therapy team. Through integrative partnerships and collaboration with the Division of Physical Therapy, Ohio State provides more accredited PT residency and fellowship programs than any other university in the country. I am responsible for ensuring their consistency, quality and accreditation status. I sit on several national boards for post-professional physical therapy education and am a past recipient of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association’s PT of the Year Award.

I oversee our largest group of Sports Medicine clinicians, assistants and administrative personnel at Ohio State, which includes a dynamic group of specializations, certifications and our physical therapy fellowships and residencies. I balance my administrative responsibilities with sports and orthopedic patient care.

I oversee our Sports Performance team, which is dedicated to maximizing human performance and minimizing risk of injury through application of optimal exercise programs. I am a United States Weightlifting Association Level 1 coach, certified strength and conditioning specialist and a Titleist Performance Institute-certified golf fitness instructor. 


Jodi Kuri, PT, MPT, OCS

Associate Director, Sports Medicine & Ambulatory Rehabilitation

I lead our team at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, with joint oversight of the physical therapy clinic, fitness facility, specialty programming and community engagement and development initiatives. I hold certifications as an orthopedic specialist and a health and wellness coach, making me a perfect liaison for worksite wellness programming.

I oversee physician operations and physical therapy operations at our Gahanna location. In addition, I work on outreach projects and establish new agreements and operational management with collaborative health systems. I hold an adjunct clinical instructor position through the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University.

I have spent much of my career in administration and strategic planning, both with Ohio State and as a long-term assisted living care administrator. One of my biggest projects here at Ohio State was working on the planning, community engagement and outreach initiatives at our Lewis Center location.

Manager, Athletic Training Outreach Services

I oversee our outreach athletic training and continuing medical education programs.  I also assist with strategic planning and relationships with groups across The Ohio State University campus.  Prior to joining the Ohio State Sports Medicine Team, I worked as an athletic trainer with the Department of Athletics and held a position as adjunct professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Lindsay Lester

I am responsible for the management of the Outpatient Surgery Center at the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute. My job responsibilities include management and provision of patient care, direction and supervision of preoperative nursing care, and facilitation of multi-level interdepartmental communication to optimize facility operations, patient flow, and efficiency.
