Vanderbilt University, Research Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
For the last 15 years, Dr D'Haese has devoted his professional career towards developing advanced technologies dedicated to computer assisted solutions for the medical industry. Succeeding to a master degree with a dual major in Electrical Engineering and Business & Administration, he conceived the Cranialvault system as part of his PhD thesis and became the key architect of a unified DBS assistance solution. His business background pushed him to translate the research he developed into the clinical routine, which was successfully accomplished with Drs Konrad and Dawant’s help. As a research assistant professor, he took responsibilities in leading the DBS project at Vanderbilt, creating the Cranialvault Consortium, deploying the system at several leading institutions. In 2007, he co-founded and took the lead of Neurotargeting LLC. His engineering & business background helps him integrate leading-edge technologies in products that address a clinical need.
