harald pruess croppedDr. Harald Pruess is a researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases specialist in neurology at the Campus Charité Mitte. He recently helped answer why Knut the polar bear from the Berlin Zoo suddenly died.

Dr. Pruess and a team of scientists helped to diagnose the polar bear with encephalitis, which is an autoimmune disease of the brain.
