Research Interests: Dr. Torbey’s research focuses on the application of neuroprotective strategies in traumatic brain injury, global and focal ischemia models. He is also involved in multicenter NIH-funded clinical trials for acute neurological disorders.

Funding: Continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DOD) for 10 years.
