Basil Pesto
Serves: Makes ~8oz. Total
Items Needed:
Food processor or blender, storage container
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste
Directions
- In a food processor or blender, add the basil, Parmesan, and garlic.
- Pulse the machine until everything is chopped well.
- With the machine running, drizzle in the oil until well combined.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- To store, put the pesto in a small container, and cover with a thin layer of olive oil.
