Experience and Interests

Katie primarily works with individuals 65 years of age and older and treats a variety of diagnoses including both orthopedic and neurologic. As the current Geriatric Physical Therapy Resident, she is working towards gaining her Geriatric Specialist Certification. She assists with teaching the neurological and geriatric student PT labs and receive mentorship from leaders in the field. Katie has experience working with body weight supported treadmill training, Bioness, and SafeGait technology. She is a member of the following professional organizations: American Physical Therapy Association, APTA Geriatric Section, and Ohio Chapter. Outside of work, Katie enjoys volunteering with The Adaptive Adventure Sport Coalition and their adaptive kayaking group, Delay the Disease where she is a certified instructor, and the Ohio Senior Olympics.
