Experience and Interests
Jessica is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Spanish and English. She currently manages Outpatient Rehabilitation clinics in Powell and Gahanna. Jessica has a strong background in swallowing disorders (dysphagia), treatment of stroke, brain injury and degenerative neurological diseases. She assists with the organization of a multidimensional community exercise program for the Parkinson’s community, sponsored by a national Parkinson’s Foundation grant.
Jessica has a vested interest in mentoring clinicians and graduate students on topics such as emotional intelligence, mindfulness, managing difficult conversations and leadership development. She has been a national speaker on issues of diversity and inclusion related to the LGBTQ community and she currently stands as the Continuing Education Administrator for Ohio State which certifies Ohio State University as an official Continuing Education Provider.
