Wendy Koesters is a Physical Therapist at OSU's Assistive Technology Center. Her experience includes team approached treatment with both stroke and brain injury for in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation settings. With these roles, she has focused the last 10 years on evaluation, implementation, and treatment of overuse injury and skin breakdown for clients using adaptive equipment. She has certifications as an Assistive Technology Practitioner and Seating and Mobility Specialist.
She shares her time with the out-patient rehab center treating both orthopedic and neurologic clients, plus neuromuscular disease research. She is a mentor for treating therapists in their expanding clinic. Wendy presents on seating and mobility for OSU's continuum from acute-rehab-out patient, with the School of Allied Health, plus in the community. She regularly takes DPT practicum students in the AT center and mentors them in the seating and positioning principles. Wendy has presented since 2013 to 2017 at the International Seating Symposium.
