Ryan Burnett, DPT, PT, ATP, is a physical therapist at the Assistive Technology Center at the Wexner Medical Center. Ryan has been with the medical center since 2013, beginning in acute rehabilitation with a specialization in the treatment of individuals with burns. Ryan has served as a clinical instructor and guest lecturer for Ohio State’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. After receiving his certification by Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, a professional organization dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of people with disabilities through increasing access to technology solutions, as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) in 2017, he transitioned his focus to wheelchair seating and positioning. Ryan has a special interest in neurodegenerative populations and global health. He has participated in three service-learning trips to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, where he provided physical therapy services to underserved communities, and was a faculty advisor to DPT students.
