Attend support programs to aid successful weight loss/maintenance and diet/lifestyle changes

Support When you’re released from the hospital after your surgery, you’re embarking on a whole new journey. To help you meet your goals, we provide these support tools:
  • In the days after surgery, you will work with your care coordinator to track your progress.

  • Follow-up clinical appointments will be scheduled two weeks, one month, two months, six months and 12 months after surgery. After the first year, you will schedule annual follow-up appointments.

  • You also have the option of being referred to a plastic surgery specialist if you have concerns about excess skin after weight loss. Our bariatric and plastic surgery teams work together to provide you with exceptional customized care, great comfort and the least amount of inconvenience.

Fitness Classes and Schedule

Remember, surgery is only the beginning. It does not guarantee a specific or permanent amount of weight loss and you will have to make dramatic changes to your lifestyle and eating habits that last forever.

To help your efforts, our support group meetings are designed to give you all the emotional and informational tools to stay on the path to success. Meetings are offered from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Martha Morehouse Pavilion (Room 1066). These meetings are led by psychologists and dieticians who offer valuable information and strategies for a lifetime of success.
