[Music playing] [Text on screen: Reece Bergstrom, DO Uveitis and Surgical Retina Specialist Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences] Reece Bergstrom, DO: My name is Dr. Reece Bergstrom. I am a uveitis and surgical retina specialist that works at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. I think innately, most physicians want to help people and I think attracting myself to medicine was this desire to serve a greater good or serve our local community to help people. I think number one is allowing people to continue to have sight and do the things that they want to do. Whether it's art, driving, or just be comfortable without pain. I really love looking for a good, proper pathway to provide clarity for patients and provide good treatment options for patients. We want to ensure that our patients understand complex medical situations in a simple way to help them make good choices that align with their values and preferences. It never was my original plan to stay at OSU after fellowship, but we kind of fell in love, my wife and I, with the Columbus area. We also kind of deeply associate ourselves with the passion and commitment of OSU's model to patient care, innovation, and kind of the commitment to the community as well.
