Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence

Only 7% of registered hospitals in the United States earn it, and only 2% keep it. University Hospital and Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital have earned and kept their Magnet® designation three times.

Our hospitals are the first in central in Ohio to earn a third Magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet status is the highest recognition a hospital can receive for outstanding nursing performance. Expert patient care. Continuous training and education. Teamwork. Community service. Attention to patient needs. These are the standards of Magnet hospitals, and they are our focus every day as we strive to deliver the safest and highest quality healthcare.
