COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will raise the final beams on the new outpatient care center in Upper Arlington and the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute – an important milestone in both facilities’ construction.

Officials with Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center and the City of Upper Arlington will gather at noon on Oct. 26 for an invitation-only topping off ceremony to secure the top beam of a new outpatient care center. Media are invited to cover the event at 1800 Zollinger Road. 

Expected to open in 2016, the five-story, 100,000-square-foot medical office building will offer primary healthcare, heart and vascular services, obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk obstetrics, women's health services and internal medicine specialties, including diabetes and endocrinology, arthritis and rheumatology, imaging and radiology, allergy, behavioral health, digestive health and dermatology. The facility also will offer general surgery and laboratory services.

Members of Ohio State Wexner Medical Center’s Sports Medicine team will gather at 3:00 p.m. on Oct. 30 to celebrate the placement of the final beam atop the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute. Media are invited to cover the invitation-only event at the corner of Ackerman Road and Fred Taylor Drive. 

Expected to open in fall 2016, the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute will be the future home of the largest and most comprehensive dedicated sports medicine facility in the country. The $45 million state-of-the-art facility will house 15 interdisciplinary specialties, 160 sports medicine faculty and staff, and four research and performance labs.
