About Me
Glaucoma is my specialty within ophthalmology. Over the years, I have seen a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This gives me a unique perspective. My glaucoma patients are why I decided to specialize in glaucoma. I saw them often and developed a strong bond.
Although there isn't a cure, glaucoma can be managed very well.
This is a very exciting and innovative time in glaucoma. The development of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery has opened up many new options for treating glaucoma, several of which can be done during cataract surgery. We can discuss if you are a candidate for these procedures.
I'm concerned about each patient as a person and with their overall medical health. I give each patient my utmost attention. I also believe in educating my patients and really making them a part of their healthcare management. We work together as a team.
It's great to be a part of Ohio State. It is an amazing academic institution. We're always striving to develop new techniques to better understand and manage different types of glaucoma.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Good experience! Always a pleasure seeing and working with Doctor Fleming. Her young Mentor, Jesse. Came in to Introduce himself First and asked if he could do an Eye Exam on me. I had no problem with it, because it is a part of their learning experience. Doctor Fleming would also follow-up, go behind and recheck what her Mentor had done! They Communicated outside in the hallway and after Doctor Fleming's final Eye Exam, she gave me her feedback. I left out with a Good report.

Dr Fleming is a good listener,caring and friendly. Even when you are scared she gives you her words of comfort she's good in her job.
I was disappointed that I had to remind Dr. Fleming I have a previous conversation we had had about my glaucoma progressing.
My night vision seems to be getting troublesome. The doctor addressed what may need to be done and I am scheduled for another appt.

My doctor was very concerned when she learned what all had happened to me since I last saw her (hospitalization for pneumonia, blood clots in my lungs and atrial fibrillation & move from 50-year home to retirement home because of health issues).
