About Me
I am a professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at The Ohio State University and director of Neurosurgical Oncology at the OSUCCC – James. I received my medical degree from Columbia University in 2002 and completed my neurological surgery residency at the University of Southern California in 2009. I also finished a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
My clinical interests include the development of minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat brain tumors, as well as the development of clinical trials to treat brain tumors and neurodegenerative conditions. My research has included creating surgical techniques in animal models that facilitate the delivery of therapeutic agents in glioma and brain metastasis models. I serve as the principal investigator or co-principal investigator on multiple clinical trials focusing on multiple gene therapy, cancer-killing viruses and more. I’ve also been involved in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications related to clinical and translational research.
What I enjoy most about working at The Ohio State University are the endless opportunities for cutting-edge research. Thanks to our collaborative approach with other providers and personalized approach to patient care, we create unique treatment plans for our patients and deliver positive outcomes.
