LVAD and Heart Transplant Support Group Share with others waiting for and living with heart transplants

This support group is dedicated to any patient who is being considered for LVAD or heart transplant, is listed for heart transplant, or has had a heart transplant or LVAD placed. The group is for inpatients and outpatients. Family members are encouraged to attend, as well.

Mended Hearts Support Group There is life after a heart event

This group helps people understand that there can be a rich, rewarding life after a heart event. For 60 years, Mended Hearts has been bringing patients, families and caregivers together to form a network of caring individuals. Members listen, share their experiences and learn from healthcare professionals.

WomenHeart of Central Ohio Support for women living with heart disease

WomenHeart is The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. It is the only patient support organization for women living with heart disease.

WomenHeart Support Networks are critical outlets for heart disease survivors to understand their heart disease more fully, discuss how the disease has changed them and their families, and empower them to act as partners with their physicians in all healthcare decisions. 

Additionally, WomenHeart Support Networks provide critical mentoring and peer to peer emotional support, encourage secondary prevention, and help women living with heart disease set realistic goals for behavior and lifestyle changes.
